I’m fortunate this summer to spend every week talking on-air about books, and if you’re outside of Canada, or you miss me in your regions, I will post the audio here.
Here I am chatting with Gill Deacon, the host of CBC’s Here and Now, about my favourite Talking Animal books:
Obviously, I’d be some sort of large cat, either a tiger or an ocelot. Speaking of which, there’s a graphic novel called The Rabbi’s Cat, which is about a cat who belongs to the rabbi in a Moroccan town, and what happens when that cat gains the power of speech by eating a parrot. It’s hysterical and also kind of spiritual.
Love it!
